Description of Study
This article examines how divergent integration policies have influenced migrant women's labour market participation. The study focuses on Belgium and the Netherlands to examine how the 'culturalization of integration' (particularly in the post-9/11 context) has shaped both the design of integration policies and their impact on migrant women. Drawing on integration theories (Berry, 1997), the article examines whether different institutional frameworks and integration models have led to divergent socioeconomic outcomes. In doing so, it highlights persistent structural barriers that continue to hinder migrant women's access to and participation in the labour market.
