Description of Study
This study explores the role of reputation systems as a core governance mechanism in DAOs. The study draws on the theory of reputation that highlights the importance of reputational feedback in fostering cooperation and trust. The study is an exploratory, qualitative analysis of white papers aimed at inductively gaining insight into the diverse practices and forms of reputation-based governance within DAOs.
